Much has happened over two years of no climbs and no adventures. I have been drowned with a lot of big projects. Moved to another company and moved back in again. Still, there was no time for me to really sit back and enjoy nature like I always do.
After a few months of sticking our noses on a stressful casino renovation project, I invited my friend Tina on an adventure to see the Hundred Islands in Alaminos, Pangasinan. She was up for it and we were then tourists for a day!
We met up with the organizer at 10:00 PM in SM Mall of Asia. We left for Alaminos as soon as the rest of the joiners arrived. It was a 6-hour van ride. We then arrived early dawn at the Lucap Wharf. Took us a while for us to be registered, so we had enough time to walk around, have breakfast, buy food for lunch and take some early morning selfies.

Finally, around 8:30 in the morning, we were on a boat to the Hundred Islands National Park. That day was quite windy so the waves were a bit scaring us. I had to put my phone in a waterproof case just so it won't get wet with the waves constantly crashing towards us.

On our way! |
From the name itself, there were hundreds of islands on this part of Pangasinan, but we were to explore only a few. After 20 minutes on the boat, we arrived at our first island--Governor's Island.

After a few minutes trekking to one of the hilltops, we were on a viewing deck which boasts of a panoramic view of the rest of the islands.

We were given 45 minutes to explore the island. After which, we were on the boat again and on the way to the next island--Pilgrimage Island.

From afar, you can see the big statue of Jesus. The island also has the Stations of the Cross and carvings of scenes from the Bible.

After an hour on the Pilgrimage Island, we were off to have lunch at the Scout Island.
Good thing we were able to buy food on the mainland. The restaurant on Scout Island definitely sells super expensive food! For us to get a table, we had to buy drinks from them. While having lunch, others were having fun jumping off the edge of the deck.

Right after having lunch, we proceeded to the next island--Quezon Island. This was where we spent around 2 hours to explore. There were a lot of things to do on this island. You can do the zipline, banana boat ride, jet ski, and a lot more. We just decided to take a rest and do a lot of picture taking.

At 2:00 pm, we headed back to the mainland with a camera filled with pictures and a whole lot of good memories too. Along the way, we enjoyed the view of the islands we passed by. The waves were bigger this time around. But we arrived back at Lucap Wharf safely.

Back at the wharf, we took some time to change our wet clothes, buy some souvenir items and eat some local food. This was definitely a much needed break for the two of us. It was only one day but it was filled with so much fun and good memories!
